The Krazy Kinzy Kapers-A Continuum of the Kinzy Chronicles!

PictureClick on the image to purchase!
In The Krazy Kinzy Kapers: A Continuum of the Kinzy Chronicles, Kinzy is back, and this time, he is enjoying eucalyptus, supposedly terrible movies, dragons, fishing, and eating eucalyptus. Meet such crazy friends as Stacy B. Burd, Mark W. Wumpbutt, Zummers L. Lamb, and, of course, the famous Master Jake. Like The Kinzy Chronicles, The Krazy Kinzy Kapers is illustrated with full-color photographs depicting various scenes. This book, however, has even more fab photos than the previous title. Here's an excerpt:

"“So, what do you think about the toppings? What should we put on top?” I asked. And that was when one threw a tomato at me! “Oh you wish for tomatoes? That one’s rotten, but I have another one right here! Any other suggestions?” A giraffe promptly threw a block of cheese at me. “Cheese! Quite the choice!” I burst out. The crowd was loving me now. They threw fruit after veggie after fruit after veggie. I added each item on the potato."

The Krazy Kinzy Kapers is a 73-page paperback book featuring full color photographs. $20. Click on book image to purchase.

The Cousin Clan and the Quest for the Codon a science fiction/fantasy inspired by my cousins and study of cell biology at school. In this story, four cousins enter an animal cell to try and find a special codon in the DNA, and fight the evil Vladomir and his henchmen. But much more awaits the cousins… Here’s an excerpt:

“And then he came to the end of the actin filaments and was plunged in to a lonely, organelle-free area. He moved his arms to the closest mighty-chondria, and pulled himself inside of it. It was a factory. Luke liked factories. They were huge buildings that belched lots of smoke. Smoke fascinated him. It was dark air that reminded him of roasting marshmallows, and only marshmallows, over Grandma’s wood fires. How he loved that, he thought lovingly. But he wasn’t there now. He was in the cell, which, as Rylie had pointed out, was amazing.”

You can also enjoy the glossary in the back. The Cousin Clan and the Quest for the Codon is a 67-page chapter book. $10 paperback; $16 hardcover. Click on book image to purchase.

The Kinzy Chronicles

The Kinzy Chronicles features Kinzy Koala and his wacky friends. Join them as they travel, get into mischief, play practical jokes, fly airplanes, eat rubber bread, and get married. Here’s an excerpt:

“At the front of the store there was a counter at which a charming lady stood. I shook my head and walked further into the store. This really was a Koala needs store! It had the latest koala fashions and freshly harvested eucalyptus. As I walked to the counter I fell into that deep ring of fire that was love. The charming lady seemed to NOT feel like this about me. I cocked my head and read her name tag. In shining curling letters it said “Mary Jane.’ I shouted “Ohhhh…. Mary Jane my sweet, would you like to get married?”

The Kinzy Chronicles is a 65-page paperback book featuring full color photographs. $20. Click on book image to purchase.

Attack of the Reptiles!

Attack of the Reptiles, released in 2011, is an exciting sequel to Birds on the Run. In this book, Ruby the Hummingbird asks Eva and her friend Rebecca to help stop the evil Reptiles from invading Bird Kingdom. Here’s an excerpt:

“Ruby reached out and pressed the little red button on the paper with her feathers. A whirl of what seemed like fairy dust and feathers spiraled around us. We got set down softly, but there was one thing different. Well, there were two things different: first, Rebecca and I were the same size and Ruby, and second, we were in a totally different place than Rebecca’s room. We were outside in a place that looked very unfamiliar. We were set in a meadow, and off in the distance we could see a castle. ‘Welcome to Bird Kingdom,’ said Ruby.”

Attack of the Reptiles is a 43-page chapter book with black and white line drawing illustrations. $10 paperback, $5 eBook. Click on book image to purchase.

Birds on the Run!

Birds on the Run! released in 2010, is the first book that I ever wrote. I was six years old. It is about a girl named Eva who reunites a hummingbird named Ruby with her parents. There is excitement and lots of laughing involved.

Lamby, from Lambpants.com, says that Birds on the Run! is the “best story ever written by a six-year-old. Ever.” Here is an excerpt:

“One day Eva was going to school, and she saw a hummingbird while she was going to school. And she saw her bullies. The bullies didn’t know which one to bully. And they started bullying the hummingbird. They were trying to shoot it with a b-b gun. The hummingbird was a girl, and the hummingbird was scared. She was scared because 1) she didn’t know where her parents were, 2) they’d migrated without her, and 3) she was being shot at.”

Birds on the Run is a 30-page picture book with full color illustrations. $25 hardback, $16.50 paperback, and $5 eBook. Click on the book image to purchase.

I wrote all of these books as part of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in years 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. Here are some photos of Booky stuff I have done since the publication of Birds on the Run!
